Emergency Shelters for Children

Emergency Shelters for children provide immediate room and board services for homeless children. These centers who serve meals that meet government nutritional standards may be reimbursable to children in residence. The children cannot exceed age 18 and must be documented as residents. The center must be operated as a public government sponsored organization or as a private non-profit organization with tax exempt status under IRS code 501c3. It is NOT a requirement for the center to be licensed by an approved State Agency or greater, however the center must all appropriate health and safety codes as dictated by local and state government.
